There were so many words written to describe this farm in that Craigslist listing that called to us, as though it was written just for us. Then when we met the owner and saw everything that this place had to offer we knew in our spirits that this was our farm (our home). This was the farm we have been praying for and dreaming of for many years of our family’s life.

One week before we found this place God had given us the name of our family’s future ministry. It was to be called “Faith, Family & Friends Fellowship Ministries.” It was going to be a Holy Spirit led farm-church that focused on faith, family, friends, fellowship, food, fun and farming. The following day, he confirmed that dream, by leading us to 3 pieces of wall art (which we purchased). One that read “Faith, Family & Friends” and another that read “Family, Farm & Home,” as well as a hand-painted picture of a red barn with a blue sky above and sunflowers (my favorite flower) in front of it. I knew that was God’s way of telling me my farm was coming soon. I found this farm not too long after that and it was as though it was made for us.
Then after meeting the owner and seeing those two ponds on the land. There was no denying God brought us here and this was our family’s home and the birthplace of our dreams.

So, what is the Faith Ponds Farm vision? You don’t have enough time to read the entirety of the vision God has given us for this dream, but I can say it will be a farm that stands as a beacon of faith (and light) for all to see. We’re not just talking about religion and all its rules, restrictions, and judgements, but a place that truly reflects God’s love and all it embodies (faith, peace, joy, hope, giving, thankfulness, etc.). A fellowship that focuses more on family, fellowship, community, people’s individual growth and relationship with Christ, as well as community farming.

It will be a beautiful place with uplifting gardens and restored ponds (with fish). The aim is for the entire property to reflect God in its purpose-filled décor and landscaping.

One of the goals is also to create jobs for people who are interested in partnering with this ministry to take care of our landscaping needs, and other areas that will ultimately be needed to bring this dream to life.

Right now, this is just a dream, and all we have is the outline and the canvas, but we believe through the grace of God and a community of believers (and even non-believers) we can do anything, and you will one day see this dream come to life.
